Harry Criner deserves a lifetime achievement award from the Arktennis bunch for bringing this tournament to central Arkansas. If Criner was on the ATA board, he could have nominated himself. Otherwise, the ATA doesn't recognize other people's accomplishments because they are only thinking about themselves and how they can receive an award.

Dudes,
I saw where Joe Murphy is in charge of awards for the ATA and gives himself the Family of the Year Award. Kinda silly to me, too!

Johnny Johnson prodded Criner to start the St. Vincent Pro Tourney. Johnson deserves some credit got bringing the tourney to central Arkansas.

Guys,
H.A. Ted Bailey was the major contributor in the early years of this pro tourney. He kept the tourney out of the red until sponsorship grew.

It's good that Leslie Pfeiffer has no input in this tournament. She messed up the best junior tournament called the Southern Junior Boy's and Girl's 18 Closed.

Dudes,
Leslie Pfeiffer cannot mess up tourneys anymore! Her total ignorance in managing tennis events is over, game-set-match. Her resignation takes place 12/31 and a search committee is taking applications for a new executive director. Let's sit back and watch how the board of the ATA handles this process.
