Mark Vaught, At Tea Party Meeting, Proposed New Admin Bldg, Laughed At For Lack of Funding

Mark Vaught, Conway City Alderman, proposed the building of combined administrative offices for the city and county at a tea party meeting. With the city budget already overstressed by excessive funding of numerous projects, the crowd laughed at this "Jackass of a Proposal" by expressing doubt that the city could afford such a project.
To the right is a copy of the transcript of the meeting by Log Cabin Democrat (thecabin.net) reporter, Becky Harris. Presently. the city budget has not been able to provide pay raises for its hard-working employees including firemen and policemen, much less a new administration building..... Mark Vaught is now seeking a Faulkner County position this election season. The Faulkner County offices have always acted responsibly and efficiently and don't need Vaught mismanaging county budgets too!!!.......Political Ad Paid For By: Citizens For Responsible Gov't

We have to get better quality of candidates running for office. This Vaught character has the city upside down in its finances and seeks another position. The city is being sued by firemen and policemen for misallocating a sales tax designated for their pay raises. Vaught has the city covered up with budget problems & lawsuits and choses to jump ship to a Faulkner County job. It looks like he has poor qualifications from leaving his present city position with all these problems that he has created.

This article by the Log Cabin reporter Becky Harris could be the smoking gun that derails Vaught's campaign. What an idiotic statement to make at a tea party meeting!!! If you get an individual time to talk long enough, you give them time to show their ignorance.

One of the more stupid moments for Vaught was when he approved the selling of the old airport hangars in order to fund the building of new hangars. $$$ of old hangars does not equal $$$ of new hangars. No wonder the city finances are out of balance and sanitation dept funds robbed to keep the city afloat!

Mark Vaught is against the hometown Conway Wampus Cats and didn't want his kids to partake in the wonderful Wampus Cat traditions. So vaught put his kids in private schools. He probably thinks his kids are too good for public schools.

MARK VAUGHT'S RECORD AS A PUBLIC SERVANT

1. LEAVES CITY FINANCES IN SHAMBLES

2. LEAVES CITY EMPLOYEES WITH NO PAY RAISES

3. LEAVES CITY WITH LAWSUITS BY EMPLOYEES SEEKING PAY RAISES

4. LEAVES CITY WITH DOUBLE THE ORIGINAL FUNDING EXPENSES FOR NEW AIRPORT

PLEASE VOTE FOR ME BECAUSE OF MY STELLAR RECORD IN OFFICE

The Becky Harris story written in the Log Cabin Democrat hurts Vaught's chances in the race. Don't y'all think that the Arksnsas Business article of the city employees' lawsuit and all the clout that Ark Business carries hurts Vaught's reputation even worse?

Yes, Kate knable's story about the lawsuit shows how little Vaught cares about the city workers, families, and their children by their lack of concern for their wages.

Lol! I'd heard about this. I've known Mark Vaught basically my whole life and this is the most perfect picture of his true self.....a jackass!

I am a tea party supporter in Faulkner County and am really disappointed in the candidates that they are supporting. David Crow and Janet Crow recently moved into Faulkner Couhty with good intentions in helping the Republican Cause but are not familiar with the quality of character that the individuals in the area represent. David and Janet Crow will support any candidate that claims they are Conservative or Republican when their character displays otherwise. We might need to replace David and Janet Crow as head of the Faulkner County Tea Party with someone more attuned to our area!!!!

I agree with your comment about David and Janet Crow. They say that they support tea party causes of government fiscal responsibility and candidates that uphold these values. But in some cases they support candidates that do not hold tea party values. Case in Point- Mark Vaught does not hold tea party values and fiscal responsibility in that he was supporting huge spending measures such as a new administration building project when the city's budget was upside down. Janet Crow as a tea party spokesperson was promoting Vaught as a qualified candidate for a county position. Vaught was running as a Republican but did not uphold tea party values. Crow wanted to see Vaught in office just because he ran as a Republican. Vaught lost by a landslide. Rumors were circulating that Janet Crow was unfriending conservative voting people left and right on her Facebook page who would disagree with her choice of a lousy candidate such as Vaught. Did anyone else that was Conservative or Republican experience such treatment by Janet or David Crow?

I experienced the same rude treatment by Janet Crow. I supported all the Republican candidates except the candidates running for county positions. The Republican candidates that Janet Crow promoted at the county level were either not qualified or had character issues or both. The Republicans should have vetted their candidates better or recruited better qualified candidates. Neither was done!!! After offering my opinion to Crow, she wouldn't listen with an open mind and hear my views that differed from her own. She immediately blocked or removed me frpm her Facebook page, too!!! She didn't come across as a kind Christian woman to me....very immature and catty acting!!!!

I read these comments about the last election in Faulkner a County and experienced the same "Unfriending" on Facebook when I disagreed with some of the Republican Party candidates. I asked several other conservatives if they received some of the same treatment. They said that they were "Unfriended" by Janet Crow and even Gilbert Baker's wife, Susan Chatham Baker. These ladies were not furthering the conservative cause by being unprofessional and down right rude to other conservatives. After asking around the community about this very rude treatment, prominent citizens told me that Gilbert Baker got so fed up with Susan one time that he moved out on her for a period of time and had a temporary separation from Susan. So it sort makes sense that if Susan treated Gilbert with disrespect that she would treat others!!!!
