Guys,
Check out these dates of this tournament. The Arkansas tennis Association schedules its annual awards banquet on February 18th and its business meeting on February 19th. An ATP and WTA tournament in your backyard, and the ATA schedules events on the same days. Another Leslie Pfeiffer brainer!!!

Talking about Pfeiffer's genius at scheduling- check out the dates of the Burns Park NTRP Winter Bowl. Same dates as LRAC Club Tournament.

The biggest schedule mistakes for 2011 by Leslie Pfeiffer are the Adult Super Set Tournaments and Arkansas Junior Shootout Tournaments at Burns Park in the spring. Most adult team matches are trying to schedule matches on the weekends in the spring, and Pfeiffer is tying up the weekends with these tournaments. She lost the Southern Junior Closed Boys & Girls 18s and must be trying to make up for the revenue loss. Captains in the Usta League are scrambling to find weekend dates and Pfeiffer has messed the whole spring up for them with these insignificant tournaments.

The BP Super Set and Shootout TOurnaments are weekends 3/19, 3/26, 4/30, 5/7. That is a month of weekends denying court time for USTA League teams.

I don't want to complain. Serious. I'm a captain and my team home is Burns. Me and all my friends who captain there are all having troubles.
Some teams want to play matches outside this year. We were basically told no. First off how huge are these tournaments? Burns has like a zillion courts! Why not hold a certain number of them for team matches every weekend? Plus by Sunday only finals will be using courts. Why can't teams reserve on the other fifty that aren't being used? We could start at like noon when for sure the tournament is done.
If the ATA is in charge why aren't they helping? We have a deadline to schedule! The other trouble is getting Jeff Brack to email back anything. I got some dates set and sent them to him but he won't email back. What is up? I can't get anything done if I don't hear back!
Ok. Last vent! All Burns captains got an email from Jeff at first and it said go to MatchPoint for a discount on team outfits. Do we have to go there because we play at Burns? We found these so great Nike outfits at The Tennis Shoppe. Does anyone know if Burns teams also get discounts at Tennis Shoppe too?
Thanks again and really. I don't complain but am really upset and want to make sure I do stuff right. It's kinda not possible with all this in the way.

Info on North Little Rock Parks & Rec agreement with Arkansas Tennis Assn-
The ATA/BP are on a 50/50 split in revenue after expenses. Pfeiffer/ATA files monthly reports with a quarterly meeting for review. If Leslie Pfeiffer is manipulating the numbers on this agreement to favor herself and the ATA, then she would need to charge/ shift expenses normally paid by the ATA over to the Burns Park account. An employee might have responsibilities to do work for the ATA but could be held on the BP payroll which in turn NLR would be sharing the bill.
Case in point- Jeff Brack had an marketing assistant hired for promoting junior tennis since USTA Arkansas lost 20% of their enrollment. This assistant could really have responsibilities towards the ATA promoting junior tennis. Rumor had it that Brittany Murphy, Board member Joe Murphy's daughter, held this position for a short time as a BP employee but then the ATA/Pfeiffer shifted her to the ATA office. Smelled fishy initially when set up but then corrected by the ATA.
When the ATA operates tournaments, events, programs, etc and incurs labor and equipment expenses, some of these expenses could be charged/shifted to the NLR/BP account which should be ATA expenses in promoting tennis itself.
Interesting to see what other tennis players will post regarding this pattern of behavior by Pfeiffer/ATA!!!

I read the comment about the NLR/ATA revenue split. Looks like a lot of expenses could be shifted to the city of NLR. Normal and customary expenses for the ATA could be analyzed by acting like the ATA rented courts from the city when hosting tournaments/events and what expenses for these events does ATA incur. Would the ATA be using more volunteers when renting/hosting an event or does the ATA pay more for help in hosting an event under a NLR/ATA 50/50 split?

Hey guys.... Jeff Brack has been sending captains email responses that contained advertising for Matchpoint Tennis Shop. If Chip Stearns is not paying for this promo of his business, then I think Brack should be advertising The Tennis Shoppe, too.

The ATA has always failed to check dates of tournaments at the national level to see if the dates of their own state tournaments conflict with them. Notice that a Natl Senior tournament is held in Jackson, Ms on the same date of the Arkansas State League Senior NTRP Tournament in May. The ATA seems to do this every year to the closet Natl Senior tournament within our region. Tennis is a fun sport that we wish Pfeiffer & Co/ATA would help us enjoy with better scheduling!

I also don't think it's right for Brack/Pfeiffer to be sending out emails promoting Chip Stearns' Matchpoint Tennis Shop if Chip is not paying for the advertising prompt. Jeff Brack is probably following orders of Pfeiffer because she really pulls the strings at BP. She is sort of like his second mommy! Someone ought to tell Harry Huchinson at The Tennis Shoppe what Pfeiffer/ ATA is doing to his business. That is unethical by the ATA if Chip isn't paying for this promo for his business.

How can we get rid of this Pfeiffer lady? I heard that the board was interested in firing Pfeiffer but she needed insurance until she reached age 65 and Social Security kicked in. The board probably could have really fired her and kept her on their insurance until 65 giving her some unpaid position. Pfeiffer was overpaid tremendously and should have never had any problem paying her own insurance anyway. The board supposedly used a sympathy ploy but never changed their ways. Look the Hall of Fame is mismanaged. USTA enrollment in the red. The board has been seeing these disappointing numbers for a long time. Nothing has changed with this board. I hope you keep posting these board member's names so people will know who is supporting Pfeiffer. This recent stunt by Pfeiffer to play favorites with the retail tennis outlets by advertising for Matchpoint exclusively is another crony ploy similar to giving Woody Juels(Professional Court Resurfacing) tennis court repair work without promoting the better tennis court maintenance company that Mike Clifford runs at All American.

The ATP/WTA should be glad that Leslie Pfeiffer is not in charge of the seeding. The top seed Andy Roddick would probably be left out of the seeding similar to Pfeiffer leaving the top seed Garrett Brasseaux out of the seeding at the top junior tournament in the South.

The funniest mistake the ATA made was having mid-season league tournaments & allowing teams to qualify members and the USTA taking away this ploy by the ATA. No more qualifying of team members at mid-season tournaments is allowed.

The absolute worst scheduling that I have seen Leslie Pfeiffer involved in was the Southern Boys and Girls 18s. The summer was so hot that players were withdrawing because of the heat. Pfeiffer chose to continue playing main draw matches in the afternoon instead of early morning. She gave consolation matches the better times of the day. I have never so many parents hot under the collar so to speak with the numerous scheduling mistakes by Pfeiffer. I heard that she forget to seed the top seeded player and left him out of the seeding which was total ignorance, but giving the consolation matches the best times reeks of total incompetence to me!

hey guys,
i got also email from burns park and jeff brack promoting matchpoint tennis shop. i wonder why they didn't mention the premier nike apparel tennis shop called the tennis shoppe. i agree that the arkansas tennis association/burns park should be impartial and promote all programs, etc and not just certain ones. if pfeiffer can't recognize quality teaching pros, real hall of fame material inductees, top-seeded players in draws, i know she can't recognize quality retail tennis outlets.

You guys,
Leslie Pfeiffer is still in her position because of the board members' decisions to keep her. Keep posting the names of these board members so people will know who the idiots are that support her.

Brenda Witt is the executive director of the Tennessee Tennis Association. She earned $50,000 in 2008 vs Pfeiffer's $91,000, Brenda serves over 13,000 Usta Tennessee members vs Pfeiffer's Usta Arkansas membership of over 7,000 members. Usta Tennessee even increased their membership by over 2% and Usta Arkansas lost about 8% of their membership. I read your Hall of Fame article about Pfeiffer and how she doesn't have any great accomplishments with her Usta results, but very poor Usta results on her record. The board of your state tennis association evidently sees her poor results similar to schools overlookIng poor student test scores.

Andy Roddick defeating Milos Raonic was a fantastic match. Anyone that missed the match might find it on Tennis Channel when they play rerun finals.
